CPACharge Look-Back: 2021 Year in Review
The CPACharge team certainly hopes that we played a part in helping you reach new heights in 2021.
We’re thankful to have been able to connect in person once again while continuing to serve you and your firm virtually through our personalized customer support, continuing professional education (CPE) courses, and new features designed specifically to benefit you and your clients.
As we use this time to unwind from a busy year and look ahead to the next, the CPACharge team is prepared to help you face new challenges. Before we turn the calendar to the new year, we’ve compiled a collection of some of the opportunities we’ve had to help accounting industry professionals like you over the past 12 months.
91 Events Attended
While many events remained virtual this year, 2021 did include a few chances for us to safely attend a handful of in-person events.
In all, our team was able to chat with current and prospective customers at 91 in-person and virtual conferences and conventions. Attending and sponsoring industry events (both virtual and in-person) is one of the best ways to stay connected with the community, and we’re incredibly grateful for all of the questions, feedback, and support we received this year.
For those of you who took the time to share with us how to improve CPACharge to best fit your business needs, we offer a sincere thank you as we continue to make CPACharge the leader in online payments for the accounting industry.
17 CPE Seminars Hosted
Obtaining your annual CPE credits can sometimes prove to be cumbersome when you already have plenty on your plate. We're proud to have the resources in-house that allow us to further our mission of supporting tax and accounting professionals and offer CPE webinars that are not only convenient but also informative and engaging.
This year, CPACharge offered 17 live online CPE courses discussing the most relevant topics for accounting industry professionals, including the benefits of using payment technology, strategies for improving client communication, how to implement a hybrid-work model, and more.
All of our CPE courses are available at no charge and are hosted by CPACharge Associate Brand Manager Erika Segal, who has a true passion for teaching tax and accounting professionals how to make their firms the best they can be.

5 New Features Launched
Whether you’re new to CPACharge or a longtime user, 2021 has been an exciting time for those taking advantage of online payments. Our team rolled out five new features this year, including:
Surcharging Account Updater Card Vault In-App Card Scanner QR Codes
Surcharge: Earlier this year, we announced updated surcharging functionality that makes it easier to apply a surcharge in compliance with payment industry regulations. Account Updater: Account Updater helps keep your revenue flowing by preventing failed transactions on recurring payments. This feature regularly reviews stored payment methods to determine if the payment details are still valid and then using data from the issuing bank, it automatically updates account numbers and expiration dates.
Card Vault: Card Vault makes it easy to create a convenient payment experience for your clients by allowing you to securely store your clients’ preferred payment methods and run transactions without having to recapture or re-enter their payment information.
In-App Card Scanner: Collect a client’s card information in seconds with our in-app card scanner. Rather than using a physical card reader or manually keying in a client’s card details, the in-app card scanner allows you to capture the cardholder’s name, card number, and expiration date with the camera on your mobile device.
QR Codes: Our QR code payment functionality allows your clients to pay invoices directly from their mobile devices. When a client scans your unique QR code, they’re redirected to your CPACharge payment page where they can enter their credit card or eCheck information and submit payment instantly.
Each of these new features is aimed at making the CPACharge experience unique, simple, and convenient for both you and your clients.

With more virtual communication happening than ever before, we remain committed to providing impeccable service to you no matter the medium. The one-of-a-kind CPACharge customer support team was essential in making 2021 a great year, and it started with you.
Your inquiries and support questions added up to 13,482 phone calls and emails being answered by our in-house team of Certified Payments Professionals (CPPs). That’s 13,482 times that our team was able to help make your payments (and, hopefully, your day) a little bit better.

Over the past year, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed serving you and the other accounting industry professionals nationwide using CPACharge.
